Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

ABOUT OUR SERVICE

How long does a detail take?

It depends on how many team members are working:

  • Solo: 2 to 3 hours per vehicle
  • With helpers: About 1 hour and 15 minutes per vehicle

What areas do you service?

We service Roanoke Rapids, NC and surrounding local areas.

How often should I get my car detailed or waxed?

  • Waxing: Every 3 to 6 months for best protection.
  • Maintenance cleaning: Every 2 weeks to 1 month, depending on how often you drive and how dirty the vehicle gets.
    • This schedule also qualifies customers for our discounted maintenance rate.

PRICING & PACKAGES

Do you charge different prices for different vehicle sizes?

No. We currently charge a flat rate for all vehicles regardless of size.

What’s included in a full detail?

A full detail includes:

  • Full exterior wash
  • Wheel & tire cleaning + tire shine
  • Hand waxing using a wax type selected for your vehicle’s needs
  • Complete interior cleaning (vacuuming, wiping, windows, dusting)
  • Leather cleaning (not conditioning)

INTERIOR DETAILING

Do you shampoo carpets and seats?

Yes, we offer carpet and upholstery shampooing, but it is a separate service and not included in the standard full detail.

Do you remove odors?

Yes — we are fully confident we can eliminate odors, not just reduce them.

Do you clean leather?

Yes — we clean leather seats and surfaces.
(We do not apply leather conditioners.)

EXTERIOR DETAILING

Is your wash method safe for the paint?

Yes. While we don’t use the traditional two-bucket method, we use a safe, controlled process:

  • Multiple clean rags in one bucket
  • Rags are never returned to the bucket once they get dirty
  • Fresh clean rags are used continuously to prevent scratches

This ensures a safe, swirl-free wash.

Do you apply wax or paint protection?

Yes — we offer hand-applied wax as our primary paint protection service.

  • We use different types of wax depending on the condition and needs of your vehicle.
  • Wax protection typically lasts 3 to 6 months, and sometimes longer depending on driving habits.

We do not offer sealants or ceramic coating.

Can you remove oxidation or water spots?

We can remove water spots but as far as oxidation results depend on the severity and condition of the paint.
Some light oxidation or spotting can be improved or removed; heavy oxidation may not fully come off.

Do you clean engines?

No — we do not offer engine bay cleaning.

EQUIPMENT & SUPPLIES

Do I need to provide water or power?

No — Swift Detailing LLC provides all water and electricity for every job.
If the customer prefers us to use their water or power, that is completely fine, but not required.

RESULTS & EXPECTATIONS

Can every stain be removed?

Not every stain can be 100% removed, especially if it is old or deeply set, but we will always achieve the best possible result for your vehicle.

Will my car look brand new after a detail?

Many vehicles come out looking dramatically better, but results depend on age, condition, and prior care. We will improve your vehicle as much as the materials allow.
